The Hague Changemakers encourages young people to take action

16 April 2025

The Hague Changemakers, part of Move 4 Human Rights and Samen Hier, is an initiative of Justice & Peace that brings together young people in The Hague to work for human rights, inclusion and social justice. The Hague Changemakers consists of three pathways that offer motivated youth in The Hague the opportunity to make an impact in their communities through activism, community organizing and social initiatives. Through their projects, The Hague Changemakers contributes to SDG 10, reducing inequality.

Developing skills

Through trainings, workshops and networking events, participants will have the opportunity to develop their skills, collaborate with like-minded changemakers and create concrete actions that contribute to a more just and inclusive society. The program focuses on themes such as migration, sustainability, equal opportunity and human rights. Applications for the Voices for change and Community in action tracks are currently open.

Are you between the ages of 18-30 and do you really want to do something for migration, inclusion & social cohesion in The Hague? This is your chance!

Change in The Hague and beyond

The Hague Changemakers encourages young people not only to think critically about societal challenges, but also to take action. By providing knowledge, inspiration and support, the initiative helps participants set up their own projects and campaigns and create long-term change in The Hague and beyond. Each track, which lasts four months, is a Social Service Time (MDT) track in which young people can get involved in their own neighborhoods. For this, they also receive a certificate in recognition of their efforts. Please note that the tracks are in Dutch.
